Acer has announced low-cost, entry level Liquid Glow smartphone on Google’s Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, which will be available in two to three months time. The Liquid Glow smartphone will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, next week. Acer says that the new handset will bring a “balance between style, performance and affordability — ideal for today’s fun-seeking, social-networking youth.”
If you’ve been growing tired of the massive screens many higher end Android phones are sporting nowadays, the Liquid Glow might be worth looking into as it features a 3.7″ inch touchscreen. The Liquid Glow will be offered with “soft-touch casing” and in the colors “Sakura Pink, Alpine White, and Cat’s-eye Black.”
On the back, the Liquid Glow will pack a 5 megapixel rear camera with a single LED flash. Acer hasn’t offered up details on what processor, or how much RAM and storage, the new phone will feature, but that information is likely to come next week in Barcelona.
Acer has been targeting this smartphone to young audience, who love to sport funky looking devices in their hands. This segment of customers is not interested much in powerful specifications but look should be glamorous and the device should have reasonable applications.
In MWC, all sorts of devices will be at display and this important event is just two days away from now. Keep reading interesting happenings in the event!
