OnePlus is known for creating unmatched hype about their new smartphones and upcoming OnePlus 8 series is not different. Courtesy tipsters, speculators and OnePlus itself, almost all the details are out before the official launch on 14th April. Although OnePlus 8 is being launched in very difficult time when majority of countries are in lockdown, still media is discussing a lot about new series of OnePlus 8. OnePlus has also contributed a lot by giving details in pieces and the picture is almost clear what will be unveiled on 14th.
On the design front, OnePlus 8 series will have fifth generation of matte-frosted glass using a new crafting process with Haze Degree of 64%-82%. The 8 series will also have a thinner profile and a lighter weight, so that it can sit comfortably in the palm of your hand. OnePlus has confirmed that this series will come in Glacial Green (matte) color for sure and the other two colors being speculated are Ultramarine Blue (matte), Onyx Black (glossy) and Interstellar Glow (glossy).
The OnePlus 8 will feature a 6.55 inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED Always on display (2400 x 1080 pixels) with 90Hz refresh rate with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 8 Pro will sport a 6.78 inch Quad HD+ 120Hz Fluid AMOLED Always on display (3168 x 1440 pixels) with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
Both the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will be powered by the latest 2.84GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 865 processor with Adreno 650 GPU. As far as other features are concerned, we have learnt from various sources and as per our conjectures, the OnePlus 8 will come with 8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM while 8 Pro will have 8GB/128GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. The OnePlus 8 and 8Pro are expected to be packed with 4300mAh/4530mAh battery, respectively with Warp Charge 30T Fast Charging and wireless charging on 8 Pro. These phones will support Dual Nano SIMs and will run on polished OxygenOS 10.0 based on Android 10.
Both the phones will have in-display fingerprint sensor. It is expected that 8 Pro might have Water resistant (IP68) feature also.
In the camera department, OnePlus 8 Pro is rumored to be armed with quad-camera set-up in the rear comprising of 48MP with Sony IMX586 sensor, 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with 120° ultra-wide lens, 8MP telephoto sensor and 5MP depth sensor. On the contrary, the OnePlus 8 is expected to be equipped with triple rear camera consisting of 48MP with IMX586 sensor, 16MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP depth camera. Both the phones are expected to flaunt 16MP front camera with Sony IMX471 sensor.
As far as pricing is concerned, the European price of OnePlus 8 could start at Euro 729 which works out to approx. Rs. 60k but we are quite confident that Indian pricing will definitely be less. Let us watit till 14th April to know the exact pricings and details!
