French consumer electronics company Archos has announced the launch of Archos 97 carbon, the first tablet in its “Elements” range. Equipped with the latest mobile technology and an elegant aluminum finish, the ARCHOS 97 Carbon is only 618 grams and 11.4 mm thick. Its sharp and clear IPS multi?touch screen delivers amazing vivid colours and impressive wide viewing angles. ARCHOS has powered this tablet with a fast 1 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM while running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
This tablet comes with 16 GB of internal storage, and a microSD slot, capable of adding another 32 GB. A HDMI-out port and a USB 2.0 port are included as well. Front and rear cameras are thrown in for good measure.
Combining very high performance hardware, intuitive software and affordability, this Google Play supported device will be available starting in July 2012 for £219.99 in UK and For $250 in USA.

Archos tablets- series 7 and G9 series are available in India and newly announced Archos 97 Carbon will also be available in India shortly. The company has not announced yet exact date of availability in India and its pricing for India. It is expected to be in the range of Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 16,000.
