Asus has announced the launch of its Fonepad 7 (FE170CG) tablet in India for Rs. 8,999. This tablet is available in black, white, red and blue color variants. This tablet has voice-calling feature and comes with Dual-Sim support.
The Fonepad 7 sports a 7-inch WSVGA (1024×600 pixel) resolution display, and is powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 ‘Clover Trail+’ processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Hyper-Threading technology. paired with 1GB of RAM and 4GB ROM, whihc can be extended upto 64GB via microSD card. This tablet runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS with Asus’s proprietary ZenUI skin. The Fonepad 7 is upgradable to Android 4.4 Kitkat.
The Fonepad 7 (FE170CG) tablet is equipped with a 2-megapixel rear camera and also comes with a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. This tablet offers connectivity options of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and 3G HSPA+.
The Fonepad 7 is packed with 3950mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 10 hours of 720P video playback or 30 hours of 3G talk time. It measures 192×110.8×10.7mm and its weight is 290 grams.
In April, ASUS had launched the improved Fonepad 7 Dual Sim tablet in India at Rs. 12,999. This tablet comes with 7-inch LED IPS display with a 1280×800 pixels, 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 dual-core processor,1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, 5MP rear and 1.2MP front cameras. The rest of the features are similar to that of new tablet announced by Asus.
