Asus of Taiwan has just launched upgraded Zenfone Max in two variants – one with 2GB RAM and another with 3GB RAM. The new variant also comes now with 32GB of internal storage compared to 16GB of earlier version. Besides this, Asus has packed this phone with Snapdgraon 615 Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, whereas the earlier version was equipped with Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core chipset. The new Zenfone Max runs on Android Marshmallow OS with ASUS ZenUI on top.
The new version of Zenfone Max with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage has same price tag of Rs. 9,999 at which the earlier version was launched. The 3GB/32GB variant is priced Rs. 12,999. This will be available in orange, blue and black colors. Zenfone Max with 2GB RAM can be pre-ordered on Flipkart while Zenfone Max with 3GB RAM is available at Amazon, Snapdeal and Flipkart. The 3GB RAM variant will also be available at ASUS Exclusive stores and all other retail stores across India, at a later date.
Rest of the features of upgraded Zenfone Max are same. The new variant also sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels resolution) IPS Display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The display has ASUS TruVivid technology for providing superior clarity, brightness and touch responsiveness. Its Bluelight Filter for Eye Care protects the users’ eyes from strain during prolonged usage as claimed by the company. Its internal storage of 32GB can be extended upto 64GB via microSD card.
It is also equipped with a 13-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera with laser auto-focus plus dual-tone LED flash and the ASUS PixelMaster 2.0 technology. It also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper with f/2.0 aperture with 85 degree wide-viewing angles.
This phone also gets its juice from a powerful 5000 mAH battery which can last upto three days depending upon your usage as claimed by the company and can remain alive for 38 days. It comes with OTG cable for using the battery of this phone for charging other devices.
The upgraded version of Zenfone Max is 5.2 mm thick at its thinnest edge and its surrounding metal-like edge makes it durable while the back panel has the look and feel of embossed leather. This phone has dimensions of 156×77.5×10.55 mm and its weight is 202 grams. This phone comes with Accelerator, E-Compass, Proximity, Hall sensor and Ambient light sensor.
This is Dual-SIM device and also supports Indian LTE bands. It also offers other standard connectivity options of 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi etc.
