Asus has expanded its portfolio of Zenfone 3 series and launched today Zenfone 3 Max in two variants. The two variants launched today come with 5.5 inch (ZC553KL) and 5.2 inch (ZC520TL) displays and are priced at INR 17,999 and INR 12,999 respectively.
The difference between the two variants is display size, camera configurations, expandable storage and processor capabilities.
The Zenfone 3 Max ((ZC553KL) features a 5.5 inch FHD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and comes with 2.5D contoured glass. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-core 64-bit processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It has 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card.
On the photographic front, this phone is mounted with 16MP PixelMaster rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, five-prism lens, 0.03s Laser AF, Phase Detection AF, Electronic Image stabilisation for videos and Dual Flash. This camera has 64MP Super Resolution and comes with various modes such as Super HDR, Low Light, Panorama, Beautification and Time Lapse etc. For the selfies, this phone is equipped with 8MP PixelMaster front camera with f/2.2 aperture.
On the other hand, the Asus Zenfone Max (ZC520TL) has 5.2 inch HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and 2.5D contoured glass. It is driven by Quad-core 64-bit processor with Mali T720 combined with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandabel to 64GB.
For imaging, this phone has 13MP PixelMaster rear camera with five-prism Largan lens and capability of 52MP Super Resolution. It also has various modes such as Super HDR, Low Light, Panorama, Beautification and Time Lapse etc. For the selfies, this phone is equipped with 5MP PixelMaster front camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Both the phones are packed with 4100mAh battery which are claimed to provide up to 38 (30 days on 5.2 inch) days of standby time on 4G, 17 hours (20 hours on 5.2 inch) of talk time on 3G, 72 (87 hours on 5.2 inch) hours of music playback, 18 hours of video playback and 19 (18 hours on 5.2 inch) hours of Wi-Fi Web browsing on 5.5 inch variant. With this battery, you can also do Reverse Charging of your other devices and it also has Super Saving mode to enhance its life.
Both the phone come with fingerprint scanner on the back which is claimed to unlock the phone swiftly in 0.3 seconds. Besides unlocking, you can also capture selfies with the fingerprint scanner. Both the phones run on Android Marshmallow OS with ZenUI 3.0 on top of it.
On the connectivity front, both the phones offer options of 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1,Wi-Fi: 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot. Both the phones have hybrid Dual SIM slots. The first slot support Micro SIM (3G/4G) and second slot is for Nano SIM (3G/4G) or Micro SD.
These phones have premium-crafted all-aluminum-alloy design with slim 2.25mm bezel and 73% screen-to-body ratio. They come in Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver, and Sand Gold colors. The Zenfone 3 Max ZC520TL with 5.2 inch display is available from today across all major E-tailers and retailers in India at Rs. 12,999. The Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL with 5.5 inch display will be available by end of this month.
