Asus Zenpad 7 & Zenpad 8 Launched Starting At Rs. 11,999

Besides new range of ZenFones, Asus has also launched two tablets in India – Zenpad 7 and Zenpad 8. These two tablets were first unveiled at Computex 2015 held in June.

ASUS ZenPad tablets features clean lines and embossed-leather patterning to give it a look of fashion accessory. These tablets also come with optional customizable audio back cover in five vivid colors. These  swappable back cover are called Audio cover and will bring 5.1-channel surround sound to a tablet for the first time. This Audio cover is priced Rs. 3,000.

Asus Zenpad 7 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and  Zenpad 8 runs on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Asus ZenUI skin on top.

The Zenpad 7 features a 7-inch display with resolution of 1024×600 pixels. It is powered by an Intel Atom x3-C3200 processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. For the imaging, it comes with a 2-megapixel camera on the back and a VGA in the front.

The Zenpad 8 sports a 8-inch QXGA screen with resolution of  2048×1536 pixels.  It is packed with an Intel Atom Z3530 processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. This tablet is equipped with a 5MP rear camera and houses a 2MP front camera.

ASUS ZenPad features the exclusive ASUS VisualMaster suite of visual enhancement technologies — including ASUS Tru2Life and ASUS TruVivid,which acccording to Asus, ”brings advanced image-processing found on high-end TVs to a tablet for the first time and provides comprehensive visual optimization. ASUS Tru2Life analyzes each pixel in an image before it is displayed and performs an intelligent contrast and sharpness adjustments to boost dynamic range, revealing even the smallest details to ensure an incredibly realistic viewing experience.”

Asus ZenPad tablets are the world’s first tablets to incorporate DTS-HD Premium Sound to deliver theater-quality audio output. These tablets are also packed with poweful batteries to last upto nine hours of usuage, as claimed by the company.

The ZenPad tablets are available with LTE/3G connectivity and phone functionality or as a Wi-Fi-only model.  Asus ZenPad 7  starts from Rs. 11,999 and ZenPad starts from Rs. 14,999 without Audio cover, which is priced Rs. 3,000.
