Classteacher learning system has tied up with Alpha Wisdom Vidyashram, an education institute of Trichy,Tamil Nadu and have distributed more than 2000 of their Classpd eduactional Android tablet among teachers and students. These educational tablets are already being used in foremost schools across India.
Classteacher Learning System which has pioneered the interactive classroom technology in India, offers digital classrooms solutions to over 1500 schools, 2 million students and 1,00,000 educators all across India. According to the company, Classpad educational Android tablet facilitates personalized and interactive learning in the classroom and makes education accessible to every student according to his/her individual intelligence level and talent. Classpad comes with distinctive android apps, games and software that encourage deeper and active participation in the learning process among students in India. Tablet comes preloaded with comprehensive set of topic wise revision exercises that can be assessed offline. The company has not provided any details about the specifications of the tablet in the press note.

The future of classrooms is mobile. With cost of hardware coming down and thousands of useful educational apps in the stores, a properly designed program which encourages teachers to deploy such apps is needed. I found some curated apps on classpad which were quite useful.
Yes, even we are using classpad and its a useful tool for school education. We need to however work a lot more on teacher training to ensure classpad can be best utilized in a school. It makes all the difference in a classroom.
classpad is quite an awesome pre-loaded education tab for school students. classteacher has packed it with relevant content and apps ( both curated and in-house). Apart from pre-loaded content, there is a dynamic stream of upgrades. This is the future of education
