In this article, we would like to compare the recently launched InFocus M680 with the recently launched Lenovo K4 Note and which will go on sale in India from 19th January. Just to clarify, we have just seen the Lenovo K4 Note and has not got the device for review purpose from Lenovo and hence our comparison is based on hardware specifications and the little time, we spent with Lenovo K4 Note at the launch event.

InFocus M680 comes with 5.5 inch Full HD display with resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and having pixel density of 401 PPI. On the other hand, the Lenovo K4 Note also features a 5.5” Full HD display (1920X1080 resolution, 401ppi) with a 178 degree wide viewing angle, color optimization and high-contrast technologies. Both the devices are driven by a 64 bit 1.3 GHz Octa-Core processor ( MTK MT6753 chipset). However, Lenovo K4 Note comes with 3GB RAM with 16GB internal storage extendable to 144 GB via microSD card whereas InFocus M680 has 2GB RAM and its internal storage of 16GB can be extended upto 64GB.

The USP of Infocus M680 is that it is the only affordable smartphone which comes with 13MP rear as well as 13MP front cameras. Both front and rear camera comes with F2.2 aperture and Samsung 3M2 sensor. The rear camera comes with different modes such as Normal, Motion Track, Live Photo and Panorama. We have used InFocus camera and have observed that results of this camera are of good quality. InFocus is also bundling Free Selfie stick (worth Rs. 1000) with each device to make the offer lucrative.

On the other hand, Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is equipped with 13MP rear camera with PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash and also houses 5MP Selfie Camera on the front.

The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is packed with 3000mAh battery whereas InFocus 680 gets its juice from 2600mAh battery. Both the phones support 4G LTE and run on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.

Lenovo Vibe K4 Note also incorporates Fingerprint scanner on the back behind the rear camera. How efficient is this scanner, we can comment after testing it if we get the device in time from Lenovo. This feature is missing in InFocus 680.

The other plus point of Lenovo K4 Note is that it is world’s first-ever smartphone with TheaterMax technology with an immersive large screen experience on smartphones powered by Lenovo Virtual Reality (VR) technology. To enjoy this technology, you require Lenovo VR glasses, the price of which is Rs. 1299 if bought separately but if you buy with the K4 Note then the price of the bundle is Rs. 12,499. Without the bundle, the price of  Lenovo K4 is Rs. 11,999.  Moreover, Lenovo K4 also features the first-ever twin front-facing speakers (1.5W each) enabled by Dolby Atmos.

If you are planning to buy a phone in the price range of  Rs. 12,ooo then you can consider InFocus 680, Lenovo Vibe K4 Note and ofcourse Moto G (3rd Gen).
