Cheerful news for prospective buyers of high-end Android smartphones, who are in the process of buying new devices or want to replace their existing smartphones. They should better wait for some more days as world-leader of smartphones – Samsung is going to launch their new flagship smartphone on 22nd January, followed by HTC,LG and RIM will also be introducing their new BlackBerry smartphones on BB 10 platform, in India.
Samsung India has organised press event for 22nd January, where they will launch in India their Galaxy Grand smartphone. This phone features 5-inch display, runs Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor. This smartphone looks like Galaxy S III, and is expected to be priced around Rs. 21,000.
Galaxy S III
The Galaxy S III Mini is speculated to be launched in India after the launch of the Galaxy Grand. The Galaxy S III mini, is stripped down version of flagship smartphone Galaxy S III. The Galaxy S III mini features a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, and runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS. The phone is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor. It has a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with LED Flash, and a front VGA camera.
HTC is expected to launch this smartphone by the end of this month. This phone sports 5-inch screen, and is equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC running at 1.5 GHz and has 2 GB of RAM. This phone is expected to be priced around Rs. 40,000.
LG Google Nexus 4
This much-awaited smartphone designed by Google and LG jointly, is expected to debut in India in the month of February, if by that time delivery issues are sorted by LG and Google. This phone runs Google’s latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and shall be available in the price range of approx. Rs. 22000 to 24000.
LG Optimus G
This smartphone with voice-activated power camera is also scheduled to be launched in India in February. The Optimus G sports a 13 megapixel camera which a user can instruct to take snaps by talking to it, and a 4.7-inch screen.
New BlackBerry All Touch Smartphones
BlackBerry-maker RIM is scheduled to launch the new BlackBerry 10 OS on 30th January, and on this occasion they are also expected to unveil atleast two BlackBerry 10 all-touch smartphones. These smartphones are rumoured to include a 1,800 mAh battery, a Snapdragon S4 processor, and a 356 pixel density. Moreover, BB 10 is speculated to be launched with 70,000 apps in the BlackBerry World. The phones will hit the store shelves in India soon after the world-wide launch.
