Flipkart, India’s largest e-commerce marketplace has forayed into tablet segment and expanded its Digiflip products portfolio by launching its first Digiflip Pro XT712 tablet at Rs. 9,999. This tablet has gone on sale at flipkart.com, and is available in black color. The white color variant will be available shortly.
To make the offer of Digiflip Pro XT712 tablet attractive, Flipkart is offering shopping benefits worth over Rs. 5000 and free eBooks worth over Rs. 2000 from Flipkart and one Bluetooth Headset worth Rs. 1199 plus 50% off on purchase of Digiflip tablet cases. The customers can avail of these benefits by shopping from the Flipkart mobile apps that come pre-installed on the tablet. Flipkart is also offering free one-month subscription of Flipkart First service.
The Digiflip Pro XT712 tablet sports a 7 inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS HD display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MTK8382) processor with 1GB of RAM and Mali -400 GPU. It has 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable upto 32GB via microSD card. This tablet is equipped with a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. This tablet is packed with a 3000 mAh battery, which is claimed to offer 8 hours of talk time.
The Digiflip Pro tablet runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS and supports Dual-SIM (GSM+GSM ). This tablet also has voice-calling capability. For connectivitry, this tablet also supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. The Digiflip Pro tablet has metal black panel and measures 185.3×113.7×9.2 mm.

During the launch event, Flipkart also informed that they have plans to introduce 8 inch tablet also and the same will be out in due course of time. Probably, Flipkart wants to test the water before bringing out more models of its tablets, which are being sourced from China.
