The leading Chinese handsets maker, Gionee has announced today the much awaited Android KitKat 4.4.2 update for Gionee Elife E3 smartphone. This smartphone will now also support 9 local Indian languages- Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu.
According to Gionee, the update will be available through a flash which can be conducted by visiting a Gionee Service Centre, free of cost. Gionee will also upload the update procedures as well as the requisite files on their website, so the users who feel confident enough can carry out the procedure themselves. The Gionee Elife E3 smartphone has a 4.70-inch 720×1280 display. It is powered by 1.2GHz processor alongside 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera.
With this update, the Elife E3 will be revamped in terms of its user interface, applications and layout. With the new user interface design there will be enhanced features like an updated UC Browser with optimized user interface, added CamCard, updated TouchPal and more.
