Gionee ELife S5.5 smartphone, which is the slimmest smartphone in the world, was launched in a glittering atmosphere in Hotel Grand Hyatt in Goa on 31st March. On this occasion the large contingent of media persons and distributors/retailers from all over India were present. More than 1000 persons attended the launch party. I have attended various launch events organised by the technology and automobile companies, but this launch party was a unique experience. I have not seen more than 1000 prsons in a launch party and that too in far away place like Goa.First of all it was held in lush-green atmosphere of Goa and the attendees were entertained by the Bollywood singer like Shaan and the pre-launch party was Goa themed party which everybody enjoyed to its hilt.

As far as the launched product Gionee Elife S5.5 is concerned, this smartphone has been designed as a fashion statement. This is the sleek smartphone having thickness of just 5.5 mmm and hence has earned the tag of the slimmest smartphone in the world.The other key features of the slimmest Elife S5.5 are:

1. It is crafted with a metallic frame made of an aluminium-magnesium alloy and a Corning Gorilla glass uni-body.

2.It has thinnest PCB board with a 0.6 mm and 0.4 mm glass rear cover.

3. It has a battery of 2300 mAh, which can be increased to 2450 capacity with software upgrade

3. The price of this smartphone is affordable. It carries a price tag of Rs. 22,999 and will be available in Black, White, Blue, Pink, and Purple color variants.
