Gionee may be unknown in India so far, but believe it this company is the second largest mobile handset makers in China. Gionee has forayed into Indian market with eight handset devices two month ago and has launched now one entry level P1 Android smartphone ( see our separate blog ) and entry level L 800 feature phone to give tough fight to similar devices by local companies like Karbonn,Lava, Micomax etc.
Gionee L800 sports 2.8 inch QVGA display, and offers a Dual-sim capability. This phone comes with mp4 player, video player, 1.3MP rear facing camera and wire free FM. The device is powered by MediaTek MT6250 processor, and comes with 64MB RAM, 128MB internl memory. This phone is loaded with 3000 mAh battery that the company claims will give 30 days standby time on single charge.
The L800 has 1000 phonebook memory,500 message memory and is Java ready with pre installed apps including Face book,Twitter, yahoo messenger,cricket, opera mini.
Gionee L800 will be available in Black and Golden color, for MRP of Rs. 2599/-. As part of the inaugural offer the Gionee L800 would also include 4 GB memory card and Phone pouch, free of charge.
