At an event in Vishakhapatnam, Gionee of China unveiled today its first Made in India phone – F103. This phone has been made by Foxconn in SriCity of Andhra Pradesh.
The F103 is quite impressive looking smartphone in affordable category. This phone comes in mirror glass finish back. The F103 carries a price tag of Rs. 9,999 and will be available in three colors – Pearl White, Dawn White and Black.
From the hardware point of view, the F103 features a 5 inch HD (1280X720 pixels) IPS Dragontrail display. Under the hood is 1.3 GHz Quad Core processsor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is not expandable.
Gionee F103 is equipped with an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also houses a front facing 5 megapixel camera. This phone supports Dual SIM 4G and is packed with a 2400mAh battery. The F103 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Gionee’s Amigo 3.0 on top of it.

Gionee is claimed to have sold over 7 Million devices in India already and with its local contract manufacturing initiative, the company plans to double its sales in 2015-2016.
