After announcement of flagship Elife S5.5 at a mega event in Goa on 31st March, Gionee of China, which is getting traction in Indian market, has silently listed its budget smartphone the Pioneer P4 on its website in India. The Pioneer P4 is the successor of the Pioneer P3, but Gionee has not disclosed the price of the P4 and availability schedule. Gionee wants to remain in limelight in premium and budget segments and hence this lisiting, which will become reality in the coming weeks and may be by the end of this month.
The Pioneer P4 features a 4.5-inch TFT display with FWVGA (480×854 pixels) resolution, and is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor (MediaTek MT6582V), coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The Pioneer P4 is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and also has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. This smartphone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box, and supports Dual-SIM (GSM+GSM). The P4 also supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, AGPS, EDGE, GPRS and has 3G connectivity options. This smartphone is packed with a 1800mAh battery, which according to Gionee can deliver up to 16.5 hours of talk time on 2G, 11 hours on 3G networks, and 386 hours of standby time.
The Pioneer P4 will be available in Black and White colors. It measures 135×66.5×9.05mm and weighs 88.2 grams without battery. It comes with UC Browser and pre-loaded apps including yahoo cricket,facebook,fishingjoy,texas paker, and whatsapp etc.
