As expected, Gionee of China has officially announced today the launch of its Marathon M5 Plus smartphone. This phone is packed with massive 5020mAh Li- P0 Dual Setup battery, which is claimed to give talk time of up to 21 hours and a standby time of up to 619 hours. This phone will definitely solve the problem of frequent charging. Gionee Marathon M5 Plus is priced Rs. 26,999 and will be available in Champagne Gold and Polar Gold colors. This phone will be sold by retail channels across India and online exclusively by Flipkart.com.
Gionee Marathon M5 Plus flaunts a 6 inch 2.5D Full HD Amoled water drop display having a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded upto 128GB via a microSD card.
This phone is equipped with 13MP rear camera with LED flash and also houses a 5MP front camera. This phone also comes with new features such as camera can be opened from the gallery and useful apps for anti-theft and Child mode app. It also allows users to multitask. For instance, you can watch a video while playing games.
This phone also comes with features like Amiclone which allows you to switch data from your old device at a fraction of a second as claimed by Gionee. It also comes with an energy efficient mode comprising of Eco Mode, Power Saving Mode and Extreme Mode.
This phone supports Dual SIM with Dual Standby. It offers connectivity options of 4G LTE and VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0 and USB Type-C. It also incorporates a fingerprint sensor on the home button for security.The phone has an inbuilt 3 Card slot design which means you can use two SIMS and microSD card for extension of internal storage.
This phone has full metal body and runs on Gionee’s Amigo 3.1 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
