Gionee Unveils ELIFE S7 At MWC

To take its slimmest smartphone story to next level, Gionee of China has unveiled today its latest Ultra Smartphone ELIFE S7 at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The ELIFE S7 has thickness of 5.5mm. The ELIFE S7 runs the 3rd generation of Android 5.0 Lollipop based Amigo OS and will be the first Gionee smarphone running Amigo 3.0, which is more faster.

The metal used on ELIFE S7 is aviation level aluminum magnesium alloy, making the skeleton solid and durable with no worry of bending in pockets like competitors’ slim products. Inspired by the U-shape design of railway tracks, the ELIFE S7 features Iconic frame design, beautifully merging a high glossy finish and metal effect with two parallel metal light lines. The unique ergonomic side profile provides an extremely comfortable grip for one-handed use.

The ELIFE S7 features a 5.2 inches Super AMOLED full HD Display (1920×1080), 424 PPI with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is driven by a MTK 6752 OCTA core 64 bit 1.7 GHz processor with the HPM technology, which enables the processors to run at a high speed and remain at an ultra-low power consumption level. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can’t be expanded.

The ELIFE S7 is equipped with a 13MP rear camera, and incorporates Gionee’s self-developed ‘Image+’ image processing system, which enables users to shoot high quality images with easier user experience. The S7 can capture a picture with only 500 milliseconds, and its focus time is only 300 milliseconds. It also houses an 8MP front camera with intelligent Face beauty 3.0 technology, which enables the device to estimate peoples’ gender and age, and recommend the best over the face beauty effects for more natural selfie photos.

To enable the battery to last for a whole day, the S7 is equipped with a 595 density 2700 mAh battery, which is claimed to be the highest among ultra slim phones in the market. In addition, Gionee has optimized both the hardware and software performance to lower battery consumption, bringing energy efficiency to users’ fingertips. With industry leading Synchronous heartbeat technology and the intelligent control background, the background can reduce the number of times the system wakes up by tracking energy use over time and killing unauthorized apps.

The ELIFE S7 includes a Hi-Fi level headphone and offer superior sound quality with instinctive Hi-Fi standard sound system that features sound restorations. With the built-in tailor-made speaker and Smart PA, users can enjoy music accompanied by louder and richer sounds, bringing a home theater system experience to an ultra slim phone.

The ELIFE S7 S7 is the first ultra slim phone that supports dual SIM, multi-band and multi-mode such as 4G FDD/TDD LTE and 3G WCDMA/TDSCDMA.

The ELIFE S7 comes in Black, White, and Blue colors. It will be available in India by April 2015.
