HCL Wins Six Awards At CMO Asia 2013

HCL Infosystems has added another laurels to its achievements, by winning six awards at the recently held CMO Asia 2013 under the categories –  Marketing Professional of the year, Brand Builder of the year, Emerging Brand, Best Use of Social Media in Marketing, Marketing Campaign of the year and Brand Excellence awards. The CMO Asia 2013 in association with World Brand Congress was held on 31st July – 1st August, 2013 at the Pan Pacific, Singapore and saw nominations from companies such as HDFC life, HCL Infosystems, Yes Bank, DHL Express, ICICI Securities, Nestle India to name a few. CMO Asia awards, an annual event, recognises branding & marketing excellence and honours the best marketing decision makers of the industry.

Besides, the conventional marketing and branding techniques, HCL Infosystems employed digital as a guerrilla – marketing tool in order to multiply the magnitude of communications impact. The campaigns were launched across multiple touch points to position HCL’s ME tablets as the change-enablers for Middle India that further, helped bag the award for Best Use of Social Media in Marketing, Emerging Brand, Marketing Campaign of the year and Brand Excellence category. For example, social media contests on Twitter such as #METheChange, RepublicOfChange and #ColoursofChange were initiated to spread the brand message – Change begins With ME and sustain the engagement. Further promotions included interactive Masthead Roadblock on YouTube, TVCs timed strategically during the IPL season, web banners on leading portals and innovative engagements with Nida Mahmood at the Fashion week. Another significant step was signing-up with the young, charismatic, U-19 World Cup captain, Unmukt Chand as the brand ambassador for HCL ME Tablets. The campaigns led the Twitter fanbase grow 100% creating sturdy impressions, the website page views saw a surge by 1.5 million during the campaign period, with an overall increase in interest for HCL ME Tablets by 98.35%.

The CMO Asia awards 2013 organised for the past four years recognises individuals and companies for their excellence across the field of branding and marketing. The award ceremony invites leaders from 50 countries across industries. These awards honour innovative contributions made in marketing and acknowledge unique initiatives done by various companies. An independent jury comprising senior professionals from marketing, branding, advertising, public relations, brand strategy and corporate communications comprising of thought leaders from various domain judged the nominations.
