Alongside Honor 8, the chinese brand, Honor also launched two more smartphones – Honor 8 Smart and Honor Holly 3. Honor 8 Smart is priced Rs. 19,999 whereas the Honor Holly 3 is priced Rs. 9,999 and both the phones come in Black, White and Gold colors. These phones will be available soon in India.
The Honor 8 Smart is entirely different from the flagship Honor 8 as far as design and features are concerned. It has aircraft grade aluminum alloy frame and features a 5.2inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) In-Cell Touch display. This phone is powered by a 64-bit 2.0GHz octa-core Kirin 650 processir combined with 2GB RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be extended upto 128GB.
Contrary to Dual-camea set-up of 12MP cameas on Honor 8, this phone is equipped with 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, Sony IMX214 sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens. It also housed an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
This phone gets its juice from 3000mAh battery. It also incorporates fingerprint sensor on the back. This phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s EMUI 4.1 UI on top. It offers connectivity options off 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS,, NFC etc.
At today’s event, the Honor Holly 3 which is made in India, was also launched. This is Dual SIM phone made of plastic and its back panel is removable for accessing SIM slots and microSD card slot. This phone has 3D textured back cover which was found on the Holly 2 Plus.
The Holly 3 features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and is powered by 1.2 GHz Octa-Core Kirin 620 processor with Mali 450 GPU. It comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory which is expandable to 128GB via microSD card. This phone also runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with the company’s own EMUI 4.1skin on top. It is packed with 3100mAh battery.
On the optics front, this phone is packed with 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, 28mm wide-angle lens. It also comes with 8MP front camera for selfies with f/2.0 aperture and 4P lenses. It offers connectivity options of 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.
