HONOR has announced release of the MR3 OTA update for the HONOR 200 series 5G in India. This update delivers performance and security enhancements, including the October 2024 Google security patch, and introduces new AI features like “Circle to Search”. The rollout will be completed by October 31, 2024 for all the devices.
Key Features of the MR3 Update:
1. Enhanced Performance and Security: This update addresses performance and stability issues and incorporates the 2024 #10 Google security patch for improved cybersecurity.
2. Circle to Search: Boost your productivity with this innovative AI feature. Simply circle any on-screen content, such as images or text, and the AI will automatically search and display relevant results. To activate:
o Touch and hold the navigation bar or the Home button to initiate circling.
o Alternatively, enable the navigation bar via: Settings > System and updates > System navigation > Gestures > Settings > Show navigation bar.
3. System Sound Recording and Resolution Options: Now you can record system audio during screen recordings, which is especially useful for video and voice calls. The update also provides three screen recording resolution options (480P/720P/1080P). To adjust these settings:
o System Sound Recording: Settings > Accessibility features > Screen recording > Record from system sound.
o Resolution: Settings > Accessibility features > Screen recording > Video quality.
