To start the buzz in Indian market, Taiwan based company HTC today hosted preview event for selected bloggers and technology media for fits upcoming HTC ONE smartphone, which it is going to launch in India sometimes in April. However, HTC has not revealed exact date of launch nor its expected price range.
The HTC ONE is elegantly designed and has refined metallic body, and features 4.7-inch full HD 1080p display WITH 468 ppi, compared to 326 ppi available on iPhone 5. This smartphone is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.
The HTC One has many unique features which make it different from other flagship devices of its competitors. Some of the key features which were showcased at the event were:
HTC ZOE : HTC ONE is equipped with 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera. All you need to do is to simply press the shutter and the HTC One automatically captures up to 20 photos and a 3-second video—a picture that’s alive. So your entire photo album becomes a living, breathing gallery.
HTC BoomSound : Most of the smartphones give frustrating experience while sharing music and video with friends. But the HTC one comes with dual frontal stereo speakers powered by built-in amplifiers, which deliver bigger sound with less distortion and more detail. Moreover, this smartphone gives studio-quality sound with Beats Audio, which is one of the innovative features of HTC.
Sense Voice : This feature solves the problem of talking on the phone in any loud, crowded environment, which is a challenge sometimes. The HTC ONE sports dual built-in microphones that detect loud ambient noise, which dynamically boost the in-call voice to compensate.
The HTC ONE device is light weight, looks good and attractive, but its success will depend upon its pricing, as Indian market is very price-conscious. Moreover, many competitive devices like Samsung Galaxy S IV is going to be launched in US on 14th March and is expected to debut in India around End of April or in May, and Sony is going to launch its flagship Xperia Z in an event in New Delhi on 6th March.
The fight for flagship smartphones is getting intense in India and only those companies who have good pricing strategies and offering the devices in easy payment schemes, will be able to move maximum number of their devices. HTC is on strong footing as far as its HTC ONE smartphone features and hardware is concerned but the comapny will have to be very aggressive in its pricing, marketing and advertising strategies in India to get success in this market.
