Hyundai India has launched today third generation Grand i10 Nios hatchback with stylish design, spacious and modern cabin to address requirements of young urban customers. Nios stands for More and the company has tried to provide more space, features and comfort to young customers.
On the design front, the new Grand i10 Nios comes with sporty front with Boomerang shaped LED DRL’s and chrome surrounded projector fog lamps which is first-in-segment feature. This hatcback has glossy black radiator grille which enhances the look plus aerodynamic sides of the car are complimented with the integrated roof rails and shark fin antenna which again is first-in-segment feature and gives it a sporty look. Moreover, the door handles are chrome plated and on the rear there is chrome garnish to give it an elegant look from rear also. The diamond cut alloy wheels also enhances the look of this car.
The interior of this hatchback is spacious and has sufficient space for leg room. It has premium seat upholstery with wavy pattern. It comes with 8 inch touch screen infotainment system with support for Android Auto, Apple Car Play, Voice Recognition and i-Blue smartphone app support. It also comes with first-in-segment Arkamys sound system. It has 13.46 cm console with digital speedometer with multi information display which provides information on fuel consumption, service reminder and average vehicle speed and more. The cabin is equipped with fully automatic air conditioner with rear ac vents which is again best-in-segment feature. It also has first-in-segment feature of wireless phone charger.
On the safety front, this hatchback has strongbody feature and comes with features of ABD with EBD, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, emergency stop signal and driver rear view monitor which is again first-in-segment feature.
This hatchback will be available in four major trims with 10 variants in six colors including 3 new colors of Aqua Teal, Alpha Blue and Titan Grey with ingterior colors of Dual Tone Grey and 2 Dual Tone options of sporty blak interiors with color inserts of Aqua Teal and Red.
The Grand i10 Nios comes with 1197cc, 1.2LKappa petrol engine with maximum torque of 11.6@4000 in five gears manual transmission and automatic transmission. The petrol engine is the first Hyndai model to be BS 6 compliant and as far as fuel efficency is concerned, it is claimed to deliver 20kmpl. The other variant is 1186cc. 1.2L CRDi diesel engine with maximum torque of 19.4@1750-2250 and also comes in manual and automatic transmissions with efficiency of 26kmpl.
This hatchback also has India first variable basic warranty with option of 3 years/100,000 kms or 4 years/50,000 kms or 5 years/40,000 kms alongside road side assistance.
