India’s largest and fastest growing budget carrier, IndiGo will soon add “Tiruchirappalli” as its 51st destination. Effective June 01, IndiGo will operate four direct flights between Chennai to Tiruchirappalli on its 7th ATR aircraft. Bookings has opened with immediate effect for this sector at all-inclusive starting fare of Rs 2499. This service will provide enhanced connectivity between Chennai and Tiruchirappalli.
IndiGo would be the first airline to launch four departures on its inaugural day at Tiruchirappalli. IndiGo will also be the only airline to provide same day return facility to its customers on Chennai – Tiruchirappalli – Chennai sector.
Elaborating on the new route expansion in south India, Mr Sanjay Kumar, Chief Commercial Officer, IndiGo said, “Just like Coimbatore, Madurai and Chennai – Tiruchirappalli is also a key market for IndiGo in Tamil Nadu. With rising business and tourism stemming from the southern hubs, IndiGo is determined to provide the best travel experience to all those who wish to fly these destination. We are looking at providing affordable fares on these new routes for 6E travelers.
