Infinix Zero5 with Dual Camera Launched at Rs. 17,999; Will Face Stiff Challenge From Upcoming Honor 7X

Infinix brand of Transsion Holdings has launched two smartphones – Infinix Zero 5 with 64GB of internal memory and Zero 5 Pro with 128GB of internal storage. Except the difference in internal storage, all the specifications are same in both the variants. You may recall that Infinix had entered India in August 2017 with Note 4 and Hot Pro 4.

The USP of both the variants of Zero 5 is their Dual rear camera and battery of 4350mAh with 18W xCharge for fast charging. But this phone has not caught up with the trend of bezel-less display which has now become a trend. This phone has traditional display of 5.98 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The Zero 5 is armed with 2.6GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 16nm processor mated with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB (Zero 5) / 128GB (Zero 5 Pro) of internal storage which can be further extended up to 128GB with microSD card. It has fingerprint sensor on the back and runs on Android 7.0 with layer of its XOS 3.0.

This phone is mounted with Dual camera setup comprising of 12MP rear camera with wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture, Dual LED flash and 13MP camera with telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and up to 10x digital zoom. For selfies, it has 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and front LED flash.

This phone offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C.

The Zero5 (6GB+ 64 GB) is priced Rs. 17,999 and will be available in Sandstone Black, Champagne Gold and Bordeaux Red colors whereas the Zero 5 Pro (6GB + 128 GB version) has price tag of Rs. 19,999 and will be available in Bronze Gold Black color. These variants will go on sale exclusviely on Flipkart from 22nd November.

If you are planning to buy a smartphone with latest design of bezel-less display and tested Dual rear camera technology then the upcoming Honor 7X will address all these requirements. We wish to point out that Huawei is the pioneer in Dual camera technology and their recent Dual camera equipped phones have met with tremendous success. We are not aware yet of pricing of Honor 7X but it will definitely be very aggressive going by the previous record of Honor smartphones. Honor 7X with 5.93-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ and 18:9 aspect ratio display plus Dual rear camera is going to be launched in India in the first week of December. Honor has already received 2 lakhs pre-registration on Amazon.in and it is worth the wait!
