Intex Cloud FX Smartphone Running On Firefox OS Launched At Rs. 1,999

Intex Technologies, one of the fastest growing handset company if India, has launched today India’s lowest priced smartphone, the Intex Cloud FX, which runs on Firefox OS developed by Mozilla. Priced at Rs. 1999/-, the Intex Cloud FX is available exclusively on Snapdeal.com in two premium colors – Black and White. The device also supports several languages like English, Hindi and Tamil. This smartphone is targetted at those consumers ,who intend to shift from feature phone to smartphone. Intex is also bundling with the offer Aircel 500MB data plan per month for free for 3 months.

Cloud FX - BlackIntex Cloud FX features a 3.5 inch HVGA display with resolution of 320×480 pixels, and is powered by 1.0 GHz processor. It has meagre RAM of 128MB and 256MB ROM, which is extendable to 4GB. It is equipped with 2MP Rear camera and there is no front camera on this device. Intex Cloud FX is Dual SIM (GSM+GSM) for 2G networks only and is packed with 1250mAh battery which is rated to deliver 4 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time. Intex Cloud FX also supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for connectivity and has built-in usage monitor that allow users to monitor and control their data usage.

Firefox OS is a brand new open operating system for smartphones built entirely using HTML5 and other open Web standards. It is free from the rules and restrictions of existing proprietary platforms. Mozilla claims that Firefox OS is the only operating system with Adaptive App Search. While every other phone today is static, giving you the exact same apps each time you turn it on, Firefox OS is always changing to offer exactly the apps you need at any moment in your life. It adapts so you can live every moment to its fullest. Currently, the leading apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Nokia HERE maps, Cut the Rope, and Time Out are available on this OS and many more are being made available every day.
