Indian smartphone manufacturer, Intex Technologies is set to launch its new smartphone, which will be equipped with MediaTek Octa-core chipset. According to Intex, they will be the first Indian mobile company to offer this technology to Indian consumers. This Dual Sim smartphone running on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 version, will be launched globally this week.
The new smartphone by Intex will feature a 6 inches HD IPS LCD screen, and will be powered by 1.7 Ghz Octa-Core processo, coupled with a 2GB RAM and will come in 16GB and 32GB internal memory variants. The new device will be sleek, as claimed by the company and will be just 7mm thick. This smartphone will have 13 MP auto focus rear camera and 5MP front camera.
As stated by Intex, the upcoming phone will be available in an all metal finish with an exchangeable battery design. The phone will also house dual Yamaha 1420 speakers providing exceptional music performance and bundled high-quality earphones. Intex also claims that they will beat the mechanism followed by existing Octa-core processors of only activating half of their CPU cores at once, and their new smartphone with True Octa-core will activate all eight cores simultaneously enabling it to perform exceptional multi-tasking.
Intex has not revealed the price of this smartphone and the same will be announced while launching it.
