Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G Smartphone With BHIM App Launched at Rs. 5,290

To strengthen Government of India’s ‘Digital India’ initiative, Indian brand Karbonn has launched today  K9 Kavach 4G smartphone with integrated BHIM app at affordable price of Rs. 5,290, to be used by masses for digital payments. Karbonn Mobiles has partnered with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to become the first Indian smartphone brand to integrate BHIM App (Bharat Interface for Money) in its Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G smartphone. This phone comes with entry-level specifications and its focus is on secured banking transactions.

This phone is embedded with an additional security feature – Kavach which will enable consumers to transact digitally without the fear of losing banking information or money. This phone is equipped with finger touch sensors on the back to secure not only banking and monetary transactions but also offer complete safety of the device. This smartphone has features like locking device and applications, capturing images and smart finger touch dialling.

On the specifications front, this phone has  a 5 inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. It is powered by 1.25GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be extended upto 32GB via microSD card. This is Dual-SIM phone and runs Android 7.0 Nougat.

This phone is mounted with 5MP rear camera with auto focus and flash. It also houses a 5 MP front camera with flash. This phone is packed with 2300mAh battery. It offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Micro-USB ad FM radio.
