Lava Iris X1 smartphone, which was launched in the month of May with 4GB of internal storage, will now be available with 8GB of ROM, at the same price of Rs. 7,999/-. This internal storage is further expandable to 32GB via microSD card. Rest of the features of this smartphone remains the same.
Lava Iris X1 is one of the few devices in India and the first one from Lava that is built on the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box platform. According to Lava, this smartphone is currently contributing to 30% sales in Lava brand’s smartphone portfolio by volume. Lava is promtong this smartphone quite vigorously and claims to have pumped in more than 25cr in marketing this product across different media vehicles including the recent association with IIFA and the on-going association with India England series.
Just to refreshen the memory of our readers, the Iris X1 sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS (854 x 480 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Broadcom BCM23550 processor coupled with 1GB RAM. This phone is equipped with an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash. The rear Camera supports full HD (1080p) video recording and playback, and also comes with Auto focus, touch to focus functionality and HDR mode that automatically snaps a rapid burst of photos to select the best possible shot. It also includes a 2.0-MP front-facing camera for video calling.
The Iris X1 supports Dual SIM and is fuelled by a 1800 mAh battery. For connectivity, this phone support 3G apart from Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0 BLE (Bluetooth low energy), micro-USB and EDGE. It also offers OTG support to enable file transfer through USB drive on the move. The device is claimed to provide crystal clear calling experience by using Dual MIC for Active Noise Cancellation.
