Indian handsets brand Lava has launched today second-generation Lava Pixel V1 in collaboration with Google, which is Lava’s first Android One smartphone. This phone is priced Rs. 11,350 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart from today. Later on, this smartphone will also be available in retail stores across the country. The speccification of this smartphone are as per guidelines of Google. It comes in two colors – White-Silver and Gold.
Lava Pixel V1 features a 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD display (720×1280 pixels). It is powered by 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core processor combined with a 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It is equipped with a 13 megapixel rear camera with a BSI sensor, f/2.0 lens, blue glass filter and LED flash. It also houses an 8MP front camera with a f/2.4 lens.
Lava Pixel V1 also features 5 point touch and the users can also experience Google voice search and voice commands from the home screen using the OK Google command.
This phone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. Like other Androdi One smartphones, the Lava Pixel V1 smartphone will also receive guaranteed Android updates for 2 years.
It is packed with a 2560mAh battery. This phone supports Dual-SIM and support 3G connectivity on both the SIMs. Unfortuntaely, this phone does not support 4G LTE connectivity despite the fact that the majority of budget smartphones being launched are 4G compliant as 4G is fast expanding in India.
The plus point of Lava Pixel V1 smartphone is that it runs on pure Android OS of Google and will be upgarded automatically by Google. The points not in favour of this smartphone are its high price and lack of 4G connectivity.
