The leading Indian handsets brand Micromax has launched today India’s most affordable Octa Core smartphone– Canvas Xpress 2. Priced at Rs. 5,999, this smartphone will be sold exclusively by Flipkart via flash sale. Registration for this smartphone will begin exclusively on Flipkart from today till 3rd August 2015 Mid-night. The first flash sale will begin on 4th August 2015 from 2pm onwards.
Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 is a sleek device and comes in a jet black finish with a gold colored rim and a narrow bezel, which give it a stylish look. It features a 5 inch HD IPS display (1280×720 pixels ) with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa-Core processor – Mediatek MTK6592 Chipset- paired with a 1GB LPDDR3 RAM, 8GB ROM (expandable up to 32GB).
The Canvas Xpress 2 is equipped with a 13 MP AF camera with OV sensor, 5P Largan Lens and Blue Glass Filter. It also houses a 2MP FF front camera with OV sensor and panorama mode for the selfie enthusiasts. For music lovers, the Canvas Xpress 2 comes loaded with Cirrus Logic Wolfson Stereo DAC and Bottom speakers to ensure non-muffled sound.
This phone is packed with a 2500 mAh battery which is rated to give you a talk time of 9.5 hours and 393 hours of backup on standby mode. This phone runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2, and will be upgraded to Android Lollipop 5.0 through FOTA soon, as stated by Micromax during the launch event.
To sweeten the deal, Micromax is bundling the Convas Xpress 2 with 2 months of 500MB free 3G data for Vodafone users.
