LeEco which has entered India with a bang by launching two smartphones on 20th January and one of which will go on sale on 2nd February, has announced today that it is one of the first few advertisers to be selected to use Facebook Immersive Canvas Mobile ads, a new experience which allows advertisers to use a mix of videos, photos and other elements in new and compelling ways. Prior to testing this, LeEco had also invested on reaching out to its audiences through a live cast of LeEco’s India Grand launch on the Facebook platform.
The Immersive Canvas Mobile ads, which look like normal sponsored posts in the News Feed, but when tapped, they open full screen and allow the viewer to flip and scroll through text, photos, videos and other content. It’s like an alternate version of a brand’s website but will load more quickly and be more interactive because the content is native to Facebook.
“With canvas ads, we are giving advertisers a lot of flexibility to build the type of experience they feel best representing their brand identity, and ultimately achieving their business objectives. It is great to see LeEco being one of the first advertisers to embrace the new experience on Facebook.” said Ms. Fei Yu, Head of Industry Sales, Greater China, Facebook.
“Our last cooperation of live-streaming event of LeEco’s grand launch into India was also very successful,” said Fei.
LeEco’s January Indian Entry Event covered more than 100 million audience worldwide thanks to Facebook’s strong fan-base and LeEco’s unique eco-business mode.
LeEco is expected to upload its immersive mobile ads on its Facebook account in February.
