UPDATE : Lenovo has just informed that K5 Note will be sold exclusively by Flipkart. The price of this phone will be revealed on the launch date.
Lenovo is on launching spree of its budget phones and after launching Vibe K4 Note in India, is now set to launch K5 Note. Lenovo has sent us media invite for an event on 1st Augsut where K5 Note will be unveiled. This phone was launched in China in the month of January this year.
Lenovo K5 Note is improved version of K4 Note and comes in full metal body. On the hardware front, the K5 Note sports a 5.5 inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display, which was also avaialble on K4 Note. The K5 Note is driven by a 64-bit octa-core, 1.8GHz, MediaTek Helio P10 processor paired with 4GB RAM and Mali-T860 GPU. It comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card.
This phone is equipped with 13MP auto-focus rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, dual-tone LED flash. It also houses an 8MP front camera. This phone gets its juice from large 3500mAh battery.
For connectivity, the K5 Note supports 4G LTE (all Indian bands), Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB etc. This phone comes with accelerometer, proximity, ambient light sensors and digital compass.
Like K4 Note, the K5 Note also incorporates fingerprint sensor on the back and is also equipped with Dolby Atmos powered speakers. Like K4 Note, the K5 Note will also come with TheaterMax technology with an immersive large screen experience on smartphones powered by Lenovo Virtual Reality (VR) technology. It will be interesting to see whether Lenovo bundles this time also the ANT VR headset along with the K5 Note the way they did with the K4 Note.
