Lenovo Launches Six Smartphones;K900 Is High-End Smartphone At Rs 32,999

Chinese giant Lenovo has ambitious plans for pushing its smartphones in India. Lenovo has launched today six smartphones in New Delhi from entry-level to high-end. The smartphones unveiled  today are:  K900, P780, S920, S820, A706 and A390. These smartphones will be available across 3000 Lenovo retail outlets in India.

Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Amar Babu, Managing Director, Lenovo India, commented, “The journey for Lenovo smartphones in India that  began last year November, takes a whole new dimension with the launch of 6 new power-packed mobile devices, which offer an excellent choice for smartphone buyers in India. Our retail footprint has grown considerably to 3000 retail stores, since we launched our first range of Smartphone last year. We will continue to expand our reach across India.”

Lenovo K900 is the first smartphone in the world to be powered by the latest Intel Z2580 processor, a dual core chip, which runs up to 2.0 GHz and utilizes Intel Hyper-Threading technology to boost performance efficiency. The K900 sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. It has a Gorilla Glass 2 to protect your screen from scratches. The phone has a 13 megapixel rear camera with an industry-leading Sony Exmor BSI sensor, and a 2 megapixel front camera. The rear camera has an F1.8 focal length lens, making it the first smartphone to offer such a wide aperture on its camera. The front camera has also been widened to an 88? viewing angle, the widest available on a smartphone front camera for convenient self-photos and video calls.The device has 2 GB RAM, and 16 GB internal memory, and is packed with 2500 mAh non-removable battery.

Lenovo claims that at 6.9mm, the K900 is the thinnest phone in its class by a wide margin, and runs on latest version of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. This smartphone has a price tag of Rs. 32,999/-. and will be available in steel grey from 13th July. This phone was unveiled at the CES this year in January.

Lenovo P780 has 5 inch display with 1280×720 resolution, and is powered by  a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage extendable upto 32GB via microSD card. This Dual-SIM smartphone is equipped with 8MP rear camera and 0.3 front camera. This smartphone is packed with powerful 4000 mAh battery, which the company claims will give 43 hours non-stop talk time and upto 35 days active standby. This smartphone will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

This smartphone will be available from 13th July in Deep black colour and is priced at Rs 22529.

Lenovo S920 has a 5.3-inch (1280 x 720) IPS display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage extendable upto 32GB via microSD card.This Dual-SIM smartphone is equipped with 8MP rear camera and 2.0 front camera with fixed focus. This smartphone is packed with 2250 mAh battery, which the company claims will give 25 hours talk-time for 2G, and 20 days active standby. This smartphone will run on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.

The Lenovo S920 will be available from 13th June for Rs 26,399, and will be available in Porcelain white and blue colours.

Lenovo S820 has a 4.7 inches display with 1280×720 resolution, and is powered by 1.2 Ghz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage extendable upto 32GB via microSD card. It sports a 12 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. It is also equipped with SuperCamera software allowing you to take 100 photos in burst mode, take stills while video recording. This phone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and is packed with 2000mAh battery.

This Dual-SIM smartphone will be available in white and red colour from 13th July and is priced at Rs 19,599.

Lenovo A706 comes with a 4.5-inch IPS display with 480×854 resolution, and is  engineered with a 1.2 GHz, quad-core Qualcomm processor, 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. This smartphone is equipped with 5MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera,packed with 2000mAh battery, and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.

This Dual-SIM smartphone will be available from 13th June in black, white and grey and carries a price tag of Rs 15,949.

Lenovo A390 is entry-level smartphone and  has a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and runs on Android 4.0.4 ICS OS. This smartphone is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor The A390 has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage, which is expandable up to 32GB. The phone has a 5 megapixel camera, and does not have front camera, and is packed with 1500 mAh battery.

The Dual-Sim Lenovo A390 is priced at Rs 8,689, and will be available from 13th June in black slate and white colors.
