Lenovo has launched today its second phablet, Phab 2 Plus in India at Rs.14,999. This will be sold exclusively by Amazon. in from today and is available in Champagne Gold and Gunmetal Grey colored variant will be coming in due course of time.
The Phab 2 Plus features a 6.4 inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 2.5D Curved Glass. It is driven by 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT8783 processor with Mali-T720 GPU combined with 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage with the provision to extend the storage upto 128GB via microSD card. This phablet runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with the Vibe UI skin on top.
This phablet incorporates fingerprint scanner on the back and also packed with audio enhancing features such as Dolby Atmos with 5.1 Dolby Audio Capture, Triple Array Microphone with Active Noise-Cancellation.
One of the USP of this phable is its Dual 13MP rear cameras with Milbeaut ISP processor having professional features like Augmented-Reality special effects, instant focus. The camera also comes with Laser Auto-Focus, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and LED flash. It is mounted with 8MP front-facing camera for selfies with f/2.2 aperture.
This is Hybrid dual-SIM (micro + micro / microSD) based phablet and gets its juice from 4050mAh battery. It also supports 4G LTE connectivity and offers other connectivity options of WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It has dimensions of 88.3×173.89×5.5-9.6 mm and its weight is 218g.
Lenovo Phab 2 Plus will face competition from Xiaomi Mi Max phablet which was launched in India in the month of June at Rs. 14,999. The Mi Max has same display size as of Phab 2 Plus and is packed with 4850mAh battery, Snapdragon 650 processor and 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.
