Lenovo Vibe P1, Vibe P1m Smartphones With Massive Batteries Launched In India

Considering the fact that more than 50% of existing smartphone users put battery life as the most important criteria while choosing a phone, Lenovo has launched today two smartphones in India with huge batteries. The two smartphones launched are Vibe P1 with  5000mAh batterry and Vibe P1m with 4000mAh battery.

The Lenovo Vibe P1 is priced Rs. 15,999 and Vibe P1m has a price tag of Rs. 7,999. These devices will be sold exclusively by Flipkart. The Vibe P1 will go on sale from 27th October whereas the Vibe P1m will be sold via flash sale from 28th October and the registration for this device is now open on Flipkart.

The Lenovo Vibe P1 is a mid-range smartphone and sports a 5.5 inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display with Assertive Display technology for reading in sunlight. For protection against scaratches, it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is driven by a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, Adreno 405 GPU combined with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card.

The USP of this phone is its mammoth 5000mAh battery that  is claimed to be good for upto 81 hrs of usage. This battery comes with rocket charging technology developed by Lenovo. The Rocket charger works on multi-staging boost technology charging up to 2.4x times faster than other commercially available fast charges, as claimed by Lenovo. According to Lenovo, a 10 minute charge gives up to 10hrs of usage time. The Vibe P1 can also fast charge other devices via the USB OTG functionality.

The other highlight of Vibe P1 is its fingerprint scanner embedded in the Home button making it easy to unlock the device.

This phone is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with fast-focus PDAF technology and also houses a 5MP front camera with multiple shooting modes and beautification features for clicking good looking selfies.

On the other hand, the Lenovo Vibe P1m features a 5 inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. It is powered by a 64-bit, 1GHz, quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor with Mali-T720 GPU, combined with 2GB RAM and 16GB  of internal storage, which can be expanded upto 32GB with the help of microSD card.

The P1m comes with 8MP rear camera and 5MP Selfie camera with auto beautification feature.

This phone also comes with nano-coating which makes it splash-proof (non-submersible) and dust resistant. This offers greater protection against rain and accidental spills. It has a metal like frame and a classy matte-finish back to give it somewhat premium look.

The highlight of this phone is also its massive 4000 mAh battery that offers over 16 hours of talk time and 20 days of standby, as claimed by the company. You can also charge other IOT, Smart devices and other smartphones through P1m’s OTG Charging feature. The P1m ships with a 10W fast charger inside the box.

The Lenovo Vibe P1m and Vibe P1 support all Indian 4G LTE bands and have dual SIM Slots. Both the devices come with a physical Power Saver Button which enables a user to extend the battery life. Both the devices run on Android Lollipop 5.1 OS.
