Sony Mobile has taken the smartphone innovation to next level by launching Xperia Z5 Premium smartphone in India, which is the world’s first 4K smartphone with a sharp, vivid 4K TRILUMINOS Display. The display of this phone is capable of depicting breathtaking detail with pinpoint accuracy for the most natural images, at four times the resolution of Full HD.
Sony has also launched today Xperia Z5 smartphone for the Indian market. These smartphones were unveiled by Sony only last month.
The Xperia Z5 premium is priced Rs. 62,990 and will be available from 23rd October in Gold and Chrome colors whereas the Xperia Z5 has a price tag of Rs. 52,990, and will be available in Gold, Green and Black colors from 23rd October. Both the devices will be sold by Flipkart and by retail stores across the country.
The Xperia Z5 Premium features a 5.5 inch 4K UHD (3840×2160), 806 PPI, Triluminos display to enable you to view videos or photos in rich, vibrant 4K detail. You can also connect this phone to the big screen either wirelessly via DLNA or with MHL 3.0 to enjoy your content on a 4K TV.
The Xperia Z5 Premium is driven by Snapdragon 810, 64-bit Octa Core processor coupled with 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage with the provision to extend it to 200GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is packed with 3430 mAh battery with quick charge capability, which eliminates the need of regular charging. With quick charge feature, you can get usage time of 5.5 hours with just 10 minutes of charging.
Thhe other significant USP of this phone is its rear camera of 23 MP Sony Exmor RS with features of Hybrid Auto Focus 0.03 sec, 5 x Clear Image Zoom, Up to 8x Digital Zoom and Wide-angle G Lens (24 mm). This camera also enhances your imaging prowesss as it has feature of clicking images even in low-light and difficult lighting conditions. You can capture clearer and betterphotos at night or in darker surroundings with less noise and blur. The other useful feature of this camera is its capability of capturing the images of moving objects so that you do not miss out the important sequence or action. This phone has dimensions of 154.4 x 76.0 x 7.8 mm and its weight is 180 grams. This phone comes with a metal frame and frosted glass back. It is beautifully crafted device with refined simplicity and looks very elegant and comfortable to hold.
Sony has also launched Xperia Z5 smartphone which boast of same processsor, RAM and ROM which has been provided on Xperia Z5 premium and the front and rear camera features are also same.
The difference is in screen specifications and battery sizes. The Xperia Z5 features a 5.2 inch FHD 1080p (1920×1080) Triluminos display and gets its juice from 2900 mAh battery.
The Xperia Z5 has dimensions of 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm and weighs 154 grams.
Both the smartphones support 4G LTE networks and are Dual-SIM devies. These phones also have integrated fingerprint sensor power button for intuitive unlock. Both the devices are Dust and Water proof.
