Lenovo has today announced reduction in price of its Vibe S1 smartphone having Dual Selfie camera. This phone was launched in India in the month of November last year at Rs. 15,999. From tomorrow i.e April 26, 2016, this phone will be available at price of Rs 12,999/- exclusively on Amazon.com.
The USP of VIBE S1 is its feature of dual selfie cameras – the 8MP primary front camera and a 2MP secondary front camera which analyzes depth of field information to replicate human binocular vision. These two cameras work in tandem to unleash a myriad of new possibilities that can give selfies a creative twist. The front camera has several built-in photo editing tools such as Selfie background Blur, Post shot refocusing on the selfie and intelligent background swap. Intelligent background swap allows users to cut out people from a selfie and then superimpose them on another image.
The VIBE S1 also houses 13MP rear camera which boasts of phase-detection autofocus, dual-color flash which optimizes color tones based on ambient lighting.
This smartphone features a 5.0-inch FHD (1920X1080) IPS display and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek (MT6752) 1.7GHz Octa-Core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage extendable to 128GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. It is packed with 2500mAh battery.
For connectivity, the VIBE S1 offers options of Dual-SIM, 4G LTE( all available bands in India), 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.
The Vibe S1 has very impressive design as it has been crafted using front and back Gorilla Glass 3 for protectin against scratches. Lenovo has used curved glass on the rear panel which gels smoothly with rounded metal frame to give it stylish and premium look. With a curvature measuring 5.4mm to 7.8mm and having light wight of 132 grams, the device is quite light to carry and quite comfortable to use. The logo on the rear camera is silk printed to give it excellent look.
