Lenovo has expanded its portfolio of Vibe series of smartphones in India and launched today the Vibe X2. The Lenovo Vib X2 has a price tag of Rs. 19,999/-and will be available exclusively on Flipkart at 10 am on 10 Nov, 2014 onwards. The device will be available in sunset Gold layer variant.
The Vibe X2 is touted as the world’s first layered phone. The slim and stylish Vibe X2 has a new, unique layered design accentuated with bold colours. A fourth layer can be added to the layered Vibe X2 with the innovative Vibe Xtension Smart layers which are, Vibe X2 Battery and Vibe X2 Speaker.
According to Lenovo, Vibe X2 Speaker is the first click-on speaker in the market to facilitate music lovers as well as movie fans to enjoy their favorite tracks and videos with JBL tuned hi-fi sound.
The Vibe X2 features a 5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display, and is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6595m processor.The MT6595 is world’s first 4G LTE Octa-Core Smartphone SoC with ARM Cortex-A17 and Ultra HD H.265 Codec Support. The chipset employs ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture with MediaTek’s CorePilot technology to deliver a Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) platform that unlocks the full power of all eight cores. This smartphone has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage.
The Vibe X2 supports Dual-SIM (Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM), and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with Vibe UI 2.0.
The Lenovo Vibe X2 is equipped with two advanced cameras for multiple shooting modes and a beautification feature. Its 5MP wide-angle front camera features auto-shutter gesture controls that activate the lens with the blink of an eye or a smile is perfect for selfies. The13MP auto-focus, rear-facing camera comes with a back-illuminated sensor and LED flash.
The Vibe X2 is fuelled by a 2300mAh battery. For connectivity, this smartphone offers options of 4G LTE (with support for Indian LTE bands); Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. It has dimensions of 140.2×68.6×7.27mm and its weight is 120 grams.
The Lenovo Vibe X2 smartphones comes equipped with Lenovo’s proprietary DOit Android applications for sharing and security.
