As expected, Motorola has announced the launch of the Moto Maxx smartphone. This smartphone is the global variant of the recently-launched Droid Turbo. Motorola Moto Maxx will be available on motorola.com starting from today in Brazil and in Mexico in mid-November , followed by additional Latin American countries. This smartphone is priced around $ 870, which works out to approximately Rs. 54,000.
Like the Droid Turbo, Moto Maxx is designed with premium ballistic nylon, which according to Motorola, “is a high-quality, durable material with a distinctive texture and rich color – you might recognize it from outdoor gear, like backpacks. Under that, is a layer of DuPont Kevlar fiber, a material that is five times stronger than steel. Moto Maxx is protected inside and out with water-repellent nano-coating.”
The Moto Maxx features a 5.2-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display with a pixel density of 565ppi and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and is driven by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7GHz paired with an Adreno 420 GPU. For storage, it offers 3GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM.
The Moto Maxx is equipped with a massive 21MP rear autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash. It also houses a 2MP front camera. It is packed with powerful 3900mAh battery with Motorola Turbo Charger to provide up to eight hours of power in just 15 quick minutes of charging. For connectivity, this smartphone supports 4G LTE with LTE Cat 4, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB etc.
