South Korean giant LG has decided to promote aggressively its upcoming flagship smartphone LG G2, which will be officially launched on 7th August in an event in NewYork. As per a prominent tech site intomobile, which got the feedback from the Korean site MK News, LG G2 will be made available on 100 carriers worldwide in 2 to 3 months after August 7th announcement. South Koreans will be first to get the new phone, followed by the U.S. and select European markets in September, with the global roll-out complete by the end of October. LG has plans to move minimum 10 million units of new device by the end of this year throughout the world, which is achievable figure keeping in view of high success rate of its Optimus range of smartphones.
LG has ambitious plans to take on with stalwarts of smartphone indsutry like Samsung,Sony and HTC and also give tough competition to some Chinese companies like HuaWei,ZTE and Lenovo, who have also become very aggressive of late.
LG’s forthcoming LG G2 will be state of the art smartphone with many features not introduced in earlier Optimus smartphones of LG. According to various rumors, the Optimus G2 will be powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB RAM and a 13.0-megapixel rear camera. This smartphone will run on latest Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS and the display of this device will be full HD 5.2 inches.
