LG India has launched today LG G8s ThinQ smartphone which was unveiled at MWC 2019. Priced at Rs. 36,990, this phone will be available from 29th September in Mirror Black color. The USP of this phone is its Z Camera with Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor technology for secured biometric recognition even in the dark and accurate and fast face unlock due to the Z Camera’s use of infrared light and 3D point clouds to accurately trace the contours and features of the face. The third new feature of the Z Camera is Air Motion, a touchless command interface that allow users to perform various actions without touching the screen.
The LG G8s ThinQ is powered by Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. It sports a 6.2-inch FHD+ FullVision OLED display (2248 x 1080) with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. It is fitted with stereo speakers for an immersive surround sound. It is fuelled by 3500mAh battery. It also has rear fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature.
It is armed with a triple-lens camera setup comprising of 13MP Super Wide lens with F2/4 aperture and 137 degree field of view, 12MP Standard lens with F1/8 aperture, 78 degree field of view and 12MP Telephoto lens with F2/6 aperture and 48 degree field of view. It also comes with Steady Cam which delivers smooth, clear videos without the use of a gimbal. On the front the device sports an 8MP camera with F1/9 aperture and 80 degree field of view with features such as Portrait and Spotlight for capturing beautiful selfies.
This phone has a polished, seamless finish that is both strong and sophisticated and guarantees a comfortable grip. This phone is MIL-STD 810G compliant and IP68 water and dust resistant. It runs on Android 9 Pie and offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth 5.00, USB Type-C, FM radio etc.
