LG Remains Dominant Leader In Monitor Sales In India

South Korean electronics giant LG Electronics, has clocked 30.2% market share in the stand- alone monitor market during the first quarter of 2013, thereby retaining its leadership position. LG has been ranked as the no.1 monitor brand in India followed by Acer and Samsung, according to the CMR Report Q1’ 2013. LG is now leading the Indian display industry after consolidating its position in the market for the second consecutive year.


According to Mr. Sanjoy Bhattacharya, IT Sales Head, LG India, “LG’s stand-alone monitor market share has made an enormous jump of 4% in the first quarter of 2013, making it a top player in the Indian monitor market. We are focused on listening to our customers and then innovating around those needs to develop the ultimate display technology solution.” He further added, “LG has lined-up a number of products under its monitor portfolio for 2013. We plan to launch LG’s Monitor TV, Ultra wide 21:9 aspect Ratio, and Touch Monitor before the end of May’2013. We will bring Cloud Monitor by end of Q2’2013.

LG has scored high in channel partner’s scheme in terms of overall product reliability, user-friendliness and diversity of product range. Channel partners endorse the overall marketing support, advertising strategies, point of sales material, manpower at disposal and flexibility in conducting localized promotions. Every quarter, LG comes out with innovative channel engagement programs. LG has also created a unique service for its consumers to resolve all issues within 72 hours.

For 2013, LG has planned a broad line-up of Monitor portfolio under the IT banner. LG plans to launch its Ultra Wide 21:9 Monitor which offers exceptional picture quality with AH-IPS panel, a resolution of 2560 x 1080 and an aspect ratio of 21:9. LG also plans to launch its Touch Monitor series with an elegant display and cutting edge display, and IPS Monitors and Monitor Tvs this year.
