LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition With Cellular Connectivity Showcased

lg_c1__1443676788_89362 While announcing V10 smartphone in South Korea, LG has also showcased its LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition, which is the first Android Wear device having cellular connectivity. This watch has the option to connect via 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for receiving calls or making calls from it without the need of a phone.

LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition works seamlessly with Android smartphones or can be used without the phone when carrying a smartphone isn’t practical or convenient especially during exercising.

LG Watch Urbane is tether-free and compatible with both Android and iOS platforms. Cellular enabled features will vary across Android and iOS.

The latest LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition has 1.38-inch full circle P-OLED display with a resolution of 480 x 480 and 348ppi. It has a diameter of 44.5mm and gives resemblance of a classic timepiece with its hairline-etched stainless steel body and durable hypoallergenic TPSiV elastomer band. It comes with a high-capacity 570mAh battery and Power Saving Mode to last throughout the day and more.

On this watch, three buttons are provided on the right side to provide quick access to shortcut settings such as contacts, LG Health and apps list. Ambient mode can now be enabled or disabled with a simple press of the crown button. In addition to the 16 included watch faces, fitness-related features such as heart rate tracking, workout tips and stress level monitoring are also offered.

The LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition will be available first in the United States and Korea, followed by markets in Europe, CIS, Asia and the Middle East. Pricin details will be revealed at the time of launch in the respective markets.
