Samsung has announced availability of its Galaxy S8 in Burgundy Red color option. You may recall that Galaxy S8 was launched last year in Midnight Black, Maple Gold, Orchid Gray colors. The new color variant will go on sale in India from 13th April at Rs. 49,990 with an additional Paytm cashback of INR 10,000 at all leading retail stores.
“Galaxy S8 continues to be a bestseller, even a year after its launch. The limited edition of Galaxy S8 will set our consumers apart from everyone else. The Burgundy Red edition of Galaxy S8 will wow consumers and allow them to express their own personal style,” said Aditya Babbar, General Manager, Samsung India.
In terms of hardware specifications, the S8 features a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ (2960 × 1440 pixels,570ppi) Super AMOLED with Infinity display and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by Octa-Core (2.3GHz Quad + 1.7GHz Quad) Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor with Mali-G71 MP20 GPU. It has 4GB LPDDR4 RAM with 64GB storage extendable to 256GB.
The S8 is packed with 3000mAh battery with fast Charging both on wired and wireless charging dock compatible with WPC and PMA. It is IP68 water and dust resistant.
For connectivity, it offers options of Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 (LE up to 2Mbps), USB Type-C, NFC,GPS, Glonass etc.
On the camera front, it is mounted with 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/1.7 aperture, OIS. It also houses 8MP auto focus front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens.
