Maruti Suzuki India today launched the Grand Vitara Hybrid SUV. The Grand Vitara comes with Smart Hybrid technology and features Suzuki’s K-series 1.5-litre Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine which is claimed to deliver an excellent fuel-efficiency of up to 21.11km/l. The Grand Vitara Progressive Smart Hybrid also has a dual battery setup which offers Brake Energy Regeneration, Torque assist and Idle Stop-Start function.
The Hybrid SUV is available with 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. It is priced between Rs. 10.45 lakh to 17.05 lakh.
The Grand Vitara Intelligent Electric Hybrid variant has a sophisticated dual powertrain system using an electric motor and a 1.5-litre engine to deliver superior acceleration, performance and fuel-efficiency. The self-charging Strong Hybrid SUV features multiple drive modes (EV, Eco, Power and Normal), that allow the Grand Vitara to seamlessly switch between the engine and electric drive modes. The environmentally friendly SUV can even drive as a pure EV with Zero Emissions as well. The Grand Vitara Intelligent Electric Hybrid comes with a standard warranty of 8 years/160,000 km on the Li-ion battery pack.
The Grand Vitara Intelligent Electric Hybrid is available with an e-CVT transmission and delivers best-in-class fuel-efficiency of 27.97 km/l. It is loaded with a host of high-tech features such as coloured Heads-Up-Display, 360-degree parking camera system, ventilated seats, etc. The Grand Vitara Intelligent Electric Hybrid is now on sale in Zeta+ and Alpha+ variants with prices ranging from Rs. 17.99 lakh to Rs. 19.65 lakh.
The Grand Vitara Intelligent Electric Hybrid comes with a special introductory package consisting of extended warranty till 5 years/1 lakh km and a PRISTINE Genuine NEXA Accessory pack. This special introductory package is worth over Rs. 67 000.
The Grand Vitara also comes with ALLGRIP SELECT technology, that allows the driver to choose from four driving modes (Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock). The electronically controlled All-Wheel Drive system with selectable driving modes uses a simple push-and-turn dial, so the driver can experience different driving styles depending on the road surfaces or conditions. The Grand Vitara ALLGRIP SELECT Alpha is priced at Rs. 16.89 lakh. The Grand Vitara ALLGRIP SELECT comes as standard with Suzuki’s Progressive Smart Hybrid technology and has a rated fuel-efficiency figure of 19.38 km/l.
The new Grand Vitara comes with features such as a panoramic sunroof with dual sliding panes, wireless phone charging dock, coloured Head-Up-Display, 360-degree parking camera system, in-built Suzuki Connect technology, Smart Play Pro+ Infotainment system, ventilated front seats and much more.
