Meizu, one of the leading Chinese brands for smartphones, has forayed into Nepal and launched today two of its latest smartphones at an event in Kathmandu. The two phones launched are Meizu M3 note and M3S at prices of NRs. 24,995 & NRs. 21,495 respectively. These phones will be sold offline via network of retail distributors across Nepal.
The M3 Note flaunts 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display having a pixel density of 403ppi with 2.5D front panel. It is powered by an octa-core, 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 processor combined with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card. This phone supports hybrid dual-SIM.
The Meizu M3 Note is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with Dual LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and phase detection auto focus (PDAF). For selfies, Meizu has provided 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
One of the major highlights of this phone is that it gets its juice from massive 4100mAh battery to address issues of frequent charging. The other major feature of this phone is its fingerprint scanner on the home button and which is claimed to be quite efficient and very fast.
This phone runs on Meizu’s Flyme 5 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The M3 Note is 4G LTE enabled phone and also offers other connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS connectivity options.
The Meizu m3s features a 5 inch HD display with resolution of 1280×720 pixels with 2.5D curved glass protection. This smartphone is driven by an octa-core MediaTek processor coupled with Mali T860 GPU. It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card.
Meizu m3s sports a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and 5 element lens. It comes with Burst mode, Panorama mode etc. It also houses a 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video conferencing. It is packed with a 3,020 mAh battery. This phone also incorporates a fingerprint sensor on the home buttton.
On the connectivity front, it offers support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS etc. This smartphone comes with hybrid dual-sim support and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Flyme OS 5.1.
