At an event in China, Meizu has launched its premium phone monikered as MX6. Meizu MX6 is packed with very powerful deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor clocked at 2.3GHz. This is the second phone to be equipped with this processor as today in India, Zopo Speed 8 has also been launched with the same processor at very high price of Rs. 30,000.
Meizu MX6 has full metal body and is very sleek device having a weight of just 155 grams. This phone runs on Meizu’s Flyme OS 5.2 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
This phone flaunts a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) LCD display with 2.5 D front panel and 85% NTSC color gamut. This phone comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It gets its juice from 3060mAh battery with mCharge (fast charge) which is claimed to charge the phone up to 65% in 30 minutes and the phone can be charged fully in 75 minutes.
On the imaging front, this phone is armed with 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, dual tone LED flash, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. It also supports 4K video recording. This phone also houses a 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture for crisp and detailed shots even in low-light situations.
This phone is compatible with 4G LTE with VoLTE and also offers other standard connectivity options of WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, USB Type-C charging port. This phone also incorporates fingerprint scanner on the home button which can unlock the smartphone in just 0.2 seconds.
Meizu has also launched M3 smartphone last month in China which also has metal body and sports a 5-inch HD (1280 × 720) 2.5D curved glass display. It is driven by MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor.
Both the phones are available in silver, gray, gold, and rose gold colors. Both of these two phones will be launched in India in the month of August. Meizu MX6 is expected to be priced around Rs. 20,000 in India.
