Meizu had announced the launch of its M5 smartphone at Rs. 10,499 on 15th May. In just three days, the company has announced reduction in its price. This phone will now be available at Rs. 9499 and so the customers will get benefit of Rs. 1,000. It is not clear what will happen to those customers who have already bought this phone at its launch price of Rs. 10,499. Meizu M5 sports an attractive and elegant look with transparent layer of UV coating with R-angle curved design. It is available in 2 colours of blue and gold.
Meizu M5 features a 5.2-inch HD display with the 720P resolution and pixel density of 282PPI with 2.5D glass. It is powered by MediaTek 6750 octa-core, 64BIT processor with the Mali-T860 GPU. It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card.
This phone is equipped with fingerprint scanner on the front and fingerprint payment options. It is packed with a 3070mAh battery for providing a long standby time.
For photography, this phone is mounted with 13-megapixel rear camera which supports PDAF focusing with a large f/2.2 aperture. It also houses 5.0 megapixel front camera with ƒ/2.0 aperture for optimum performance even under low light conditions. It is claimed that the dual-tone flash delivers an accurate white balance. Furthermore M5 comes with an advanced FotoNation 2.0 intelligent beautification feature which is embedded in combination with the already existing Face AE.
