Micromax Launches Budget Android Based A45 Punk At Rs 5,499

Indian handset maker Micromax has announced the launch of its new dual SIM phone – the A45 Punk. Priced at Rs 5,499, the Micromax A45 Punk runs on  Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread), and is equipped  with a 650 MHz processor. This phone has following salient features:

  • 3.5″ inch HVGA capacitive display
  • Resolution of 320 X 480 pixels
  • Talk time of 4.5 hours
  • 1300mAh battery
  • 2 megapixel camera
  • Expandable memory of up to 32 GB
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth

Micromax A45 comes pre-loaded with company’s voice assistant app AISHA, a voice recognition app which made its debut with A50 Ninja, which is touted to provide solution to the queries of its consumers and help them to make calls, send messages, search for a life partner, know about nearest pizza outlet, weather conditions and much more. A45 punk provides the users with access to a plethora of apps such as Facebook, Mstore, WhatsApp and other apps from Google Play store.

This phone features WiFi,Bluetooth connectivity and FM Radio, which are the craze among youngsters. “The device offers a new way to explore, discover and enjoy music and thus revamp their entire music listening experience through excellent quality and funky looking headphones provided along with the device,” said the company in a press release.

At this pricing, it is one of the cheapest smartphones from Micromax as well as from all Android manufacturers in the country. Thanks to the bigger display and voice assistant app, it is expected to undercut the sales of other budget Android smartphones.

The A45 Punk is available in two colours – white and black. This model will be available across all leading retail outlets in India.
